The Kansas Preservation Alliance is accepting nominations for this year’s Endangered Properties List. Nominated properties represent important historic resources from around the state that are in jeopardy of being lost if action is not taken soon to save them. 

The Endangered Properties List helps raise awareness about the most critical places in need of saving and the perils they are facing. Raising awareness of these places is an effective tool in the fight to save our irreplaceable architectural, cultural, and natural heritage.

These properties are threatened by neglect, insufficient funds, inappropriate development or insensitive public policy.

The Endangered List is compiled from nominations submitted by the public to KPA.  Selections are based on the significance of the property to the community, state, or nation, as well as the nature and immediacy of the threat to the property, such as development pressure or neglect.
